Server Colocation - by the 'U'

NorthernColo are providers of quality Manchester Colocation. Our racks are located in your choice of our two secure Manchester datacentres, offering unmatched security and control. 

We supply electricity, air conditioning, fire suppression, backup power supply, multi-level security and an internet connection. You supply a rack-mountable server, or servers, from 1U upwards.

Our Manchester collocation presents a viable alternative to London colocation, for northern based businesses and individuals this can make life a lot easier if you ever need access to your server(s).

We offer a range of additional features to which you can subscribe, these include firewalling, remote reboot ports, additional IP addresses, NAS space for backups, and server management.

Manchester Colocation Pricing - by the 'U'
The pricing listed below is per server.  Simply look up your server's size and the amount of bandwidth you require, to obtain the monthly price.  We allocate one power socket, one network socket and two IP addresses as standard.

Contract Lengths
Our standard contract for shared colocation is just 3 Months.  During this period your rental price will be fixed.  We can agree longer contracts upon request, but we like to keep customers by providing good service, not tying them into long contracts!

Technical Support
As standard you will receive freephone telephone support during office hours, and emergency support out-of-hours.  This includes testing connectivity to your machine etc.  We offer a 'helping hands' service on a best-endeavours basis during office hours.

Where an engineer needs to urgently visit your server to investigate hardware/software failure on your machine(s), or accompany you to the datacentre to investigate or replace faulty hardware/software on your machine(s), the following rates apply:

Office Hours: (9am - 5pm Monday - Friday)
£35.00 per 30 minutes

Out of Office Hours:
£75.00 per 30 mins.

We aim to have an engineer on-site within one hour.

We also offer monthly 'retainer' style support contracts, where you pay a flat fee rather than paying the above listed support rates, starting from as little as £25.00 per month.

Remote Reboot Switch Port
At no extra charge, you can have the peace of mind of being able to control reboots of the server yourself remotely.  The Remote Reboot Switch is ideal for those times when your server "locks up" and you cannot get into it remotely.  It disconnects the power, and then reconnects, forcing the server to reboot. 

This is controlled from a password protected web-based control panel which you can Test Drive by clicking here. (username and password are 'apc').  We thoroughly recommend this option, and have subsidised the price accordingly.
